Simple Things Sunday

It isn't a fabulous picture, but it was a simple pleasure to watch Kate rest and recuperate on her big red pillow after cancer surgery.  :)  It has been a struggle to keep her from scratching, to keep her and Bobby from rough-housing, and to keep Little Mister from trying to touch her incision, but I'm just glad she's recovering well and crossing fingers that she will be okay.

Simple Things Sunday

Rebecca Cooper has an ongoing project where she focuses on "the simple things" in life and captures one of the week's simple moments on camera.  Click the button below if you would like to participate as well.  This is my first time taking part in this project, but I thought that it was a fun thing to do and a good opportunity for some gratitude over the simple things we often take for granted (like good health).

Emily and Conan came over from Walla Walla to be at the house when Tim had surgery.  It was a relief to have him home 24 hours after he went into surgery.  I think part of that is due to the fact that he has always been in fairly good health.  Now he's off work for a month of recovery.  He is feeling pretty good, and hopefully things will just improve from here.  It was great to have two out of the three kids home and both grandbabies at the house.  I think it really helped Tim's mood.
