Project Life Tuesday: Now & Then

Well, even though the title of this post is "now & then" it is really more like "then & then." No 'now' involved. Hahaha. But this post includes a page from 2014, and one from 2013... so it is sort of a now & then... if you count all of 2014 as 'now.'

I'm not sure if the Mom Creative is doing her PL Tuesday this month, but I thought I'd be ready just in case.  My computer has been acting up, so each page takes me literally hours, and I always end up wanting to tear my own hair out or banging my mouse against the desk. It is totally frustrating, and I desperately need a new CPU, but that isn't in the cards at the moment. So I'm just looking at this as a sacrifice for my art. Hahaha.

Here are my pages for Week 16 in 2013.

And here are my pages for the same week (16) in 2014.  I'm not sure that I'm sold on the background for these pages, but they are what they are at the moment. I might change them later.

My credits are insane. I used so many different things. But here is a list: VW - Pockets 6, Sprinkles 24-28; Caylee Grey - Bad Day Freebie; Amie Lamm - Boston freebie; Amy Martin - 4x6 stitched, Project Grids: Sixtytwelve 2 & 3; Becky Higgens - Polka Dot Party, Flea Market, Guest Book; Allison Pennington - Super Duper Big & Bold; Just Jaimee - April, May, June, August, September &
October Storytellers; Lily - 4x6 Templates 6; Paislee Press - Today Is, In Progress, Eternal Sunshine; One Little Bird - Love List elements, story unfolds, Hopscotch; Sahlin Studio - Documentary; The Distressed Duchess - Heather Joyce.  Hopefully I didn't miss anything!

Have a fabulous week, and I will be excited to see what you have been up to!

Project Life Tuesday

I have just realized that we are entering the last part of 2014, and not only am I super behind for this year, but I am still working on 2013 pages. LOL. I thought I'd try to get back into the swing of things by participating in Project Life Tuesdays with The Mom Creative. She's doing her pages monthly now, but I'm still going to try to get mine done by Tuesdays. :)

This page spread was a fairly simple one to put together because I used Just Jaimee's October Storyteller. Yes, I did just use an October kit for February pages. But it works. I loved the colors, and the cold-weather theme... I just had to leave out all of the fun autumn-type goodies. But Jaimee packs so many things into her Storyteller collections, you could make a ton of pages before using all of the goodness tucked inside.

I've decided to add pictures of Conan (our grandson who lives across state) in when I steal them off of Facebook. I feel bad that we don't get to see him often, and I want to make sure I include him even though we aren't physically with him.

From now on, I've decided that I am going to work on my PL pages in pairs. Up next, Week 16 from 2013 and 2014. :) It will be interesting to see the difference in a year.

And I can't help but get excited and inspired thinking about December Daily. I know it is a huge laugh since I can't seem to keep up with anything, but it is fun to think about anyway. :)

What are you up to these days?

Project Life Tuesday | July 16

In my Project Life experience thus far, I am glad to say that I realize that all weeks are not the same.  If all weeks were like this, I would never do this project.  But, this was a week where there was a lot going on, and I actually took a lot of pictures.  So I couldn't figure out what to do with it and then I just went all crazy. It took me forever to get this bunch done, but I pushed through and did it, so now I'm excited to move forward.

I'm linking up with the Mom Creative

Project Life -- Catching Up

So I'm still behind, but am I letting that stop me?  Hell to the no.  But I am slowly making progress in the PL arena.  Some days I wish I could just do a physical album because it seems like it would make life simpler.  But then I guess I remember back to when I started one last year and only got the first week done because of printing issues.  LOL.  The grass is always greener.  Anyway, I'm excited that I was able to get a couple of weeks done and am starting to work on the next couple.  Hopefully, I can be caught up before too long.

I'm linking up with Project Life Tuesday at the Mom Creative.

Project Life *sigh*

So I took on Project Life this year, and I was doing so well.  Until actual life got in the way.  But I refuse to give up.  We may be living in Week 22 or 23 or whatever, and that means I'm halfway behind, but that is okay.  I'm not giving up (yet).

And I'm going to try to get this posted and link up with Project Life Tuesday at the Mom Creative!  :)

Project Life: Week 4

It feels like the universe is conspiring against me catching up with my Project Life.  I'm still keeping track of everything and have a notebook now where I'm jotting things down -- besides the Day One app.  I need to start taking more pictures!

Linking up with the Mom Creative!

I've been doing a bunch of other scrapping, but this is all I have to post for now.  Just a quickie!  Major headache and heartburn.  Blargh!

How are you doing???

Project Life Tuesday: Week 1

So yeah, I'm still behind.  But I'm keeping track of everything.  LOL.  Jessica is too and we're reminding each other of things we might have missed.  I did feel somewhat better knowing that there are some people who are just finishing their 2011 project life books.

I came to the realization that I am going to have to do a digi page first, and then I'll be able to do my real-life version because I'll have the pictures selected and cropped, and I think mostly in digi these days.

Please tell me someone else is taking this project slow?  :D

I'm linking up with The Mom Creative.com and Kristina over at www.one-happy-mama.com.  Check out their stuff!

Project Life Tuesday

I thought I'd try to link up with Jessica Turner over at the Mom Creative today for her Project Life Tuesday.  I think it is a good way to be accountable with my project life stuff.

So far, I have not accomplished a whole lot with my Project Life.  I am arriving a bit late to the party.  I saw a lot about PL from different sources, but I thought that it was completely outside the range of something I'd want to try.  That was before I started seeing all of the Project Life supplies out there, I saw a bunch of terrific/inspiring layouts, and my daughter bought the PL Clementine kit and binder from Becky Higgins.  Once I saw her opening the package, I was sold.  I've gone back and forth about whether I wanted to do all digital, to do it traditionally or to do some sort of hybrid.  Of course, being sort of a supply hoarder at heart, I can't pick just one.  I am sure, in the long run, I'll stick with the digital version and be more likely to complete it that way, but there is something tactile and wonderful about slipping those perfect little cards into the page protectors that just screams out to me, so I have both as an option.  I know that I'm not likely to print pictures out at home, or to send them to be printed weekly, but I figure that I can do it digitally, and then decide what pictures I do want to send to print and can do that on a monthly basis, getting the traditional pages ready without the photos at the time.  Just typing that makes me laugh.  I am so horrible with follow-through, I don't know how I'll even complete one version, much less two, but I am going to give it a shot.

Today I scanned in some items for digi pages to be completed in the next few days, and then I tucked them into my traditional pages.  So far, I've just completed my digital "cover page" and I had fun putting it together.  I know that I'm going to have to be better about reviewing my digital products to see what I have as far as embellishment, but I think once I get going, it will all be good.  My digital cover...

The Tattered Pear - Sullen Seamstress1, Valorie Wibbens - Today paper, Today Journal Cards, Pocket Stuffers & Pockets No. 3, Lauren Reid - Hometown elements, TDC Shutterbug Collab - The Story of Us button, Ali Edwards - Hello Life stamps, Becky Higgins - Project Life Clementine digital kit
I'm looking forward to doing this, and I'm also excited that Jessica is going to do it as well.  It will be interesting to see what she comes up with, and it will also be good to keep me on track.

Are you participating in Project Life?  Are you doing digi or traditional??
