I am so very happy. It is exciting enough to be on Just Jaimee's creative team, but to get to collaborate with her (using her products) to create journal/filler cards, is just totally fabulous!
Here are my cards, available as of tonight at The Lilypad in the Something Old, Something New category. On sale for 50% off!
And here are the cards, in action, along with other cards from Erin W, and the rest of the items are from Storyteller Quinn.
Wheeeeeee!

Whirlwinds of January
So a lot has happened in the past few weeks. Tim broke his ankle right before Christmas. He's still in a cast and can't walk on it, so he's getting around either on crutches or a scooter. So no help at all around the house. LOL. Lots of resting and football watching for him. :) He's also working from home, so it is a challenge to get any computer time. Not to mention that my computer seems to be on its last legs. I am so hopeful that I will be able to get a new one soon. This one just has fits and starts and it will freeze up for ten to fifteen minutes at a time and not do anything. There is no sound, and nothing works during those times. Soooo frustrating. I really wanted to do The Lilypad's Month of Challenges that I did (and completed) last year, but this old battleaxe computer isn't playing nice and I don't think there is a mathematical way to complete them all at this point. I've done a few, but not enough to get me through to the end. Not with the schedule that we've had lately.
Last week was Kennedy's birthday. He turned five. Breaks my heart that he's not my little guy anymore. He's changing so much. We went out for dinner on his birthday. My grandma also came over earlier in the day. Then we had a birthday party for him on Sunday. The Seahawks' playoff game was at the same time, so the adults were all watching that on pins and needles. I said that I wasn't giving up hope, but thought it might take a miracle for them to win. And they did it. They miraculously overcame the big deficit to win the game. So totally amazing to watch.
Tonight is a Bad Poetry event at The Nearsighted Narwhal. Originally, it was slated to be bad cat poetry, so I'm planning to go and read some of my old LOL Cat poems. Should be fun.
Tomorrow night, Carla Sonheim and Lynn Whipple are hosting an open house sort of event in Seattle, so those of us who are able can come by and meet them. I'm so totally excited about that. :) I'm in their Year of the Spark class, so it is a cool opportunity.
Jessica leaves for Las Vegas early Sunday morning. That should be fun for her. I hope she has fun and feels relaxed and can come home and be ready to get back to a normal life. Things have been rough the past couple of months.
Sunday we go to see The Great Gatsby at Tacoma Little Theatre. Should be interesting.
And here are a couple of the pages I did earlier to try to keep up with this year's project life and to go back and also do the previous years.

New Year, New Project Life
I'm starting off the year working on my current Project Life pages. This is probably the one and only week that I will be "caught up" so it is a special feeling. Hahaha.

Eeeek! Halfway There
So I have been working fast and furiously on trying to catch up with my Project Life for 2013. I had two Shutterfly book credits that were about to expire, so I wanted to get at least half of the year done and printed. That meant I had to crack-a-lack on getting the weird random weeks done that I had left hanging out there. Easier said than done, but I have the first 26 weeks of 2013 done and printed. There are far less embellishments on these pages, but that is fine with me. I got them done. Whew. The books should be arriving soon, and I'm excited to see them in print. Now I have sixteen weeks of 2013 left and nearly all of 2014. LOL. Oh well, it will just always be a work-in-progress for me, and that is fine.
I am going to start on my first page for 2015 this weekend (fingers crossed) and then see what calls to me to be done.
What are you working on??

Catching Up?
It is nearing the end of the year. I am embarrassed to say that I have neglected most weeks of my 2014 Project Life, but I am catching up on my 2013. I'm bound and determined to get at least one full quarter done and printed into a Shutterfly album before the end of the year (I have an album credit). I'm re-saving all of my pages at full resolution (note to self: do this each time I save from now on) and uploading them to Shutterfly. I was able to get three weeks done yesterday, so I was very excited. If I could do that every day, I'd be done with 2013 in a week. Hmmmm. I doubt I can do that. Things have been a bit crazy around our house.
The Monday before Christmas, Tim broke his ankle. It was unbelievable. He hasn't been able to do anything because he can't be on his feet. He had crutches until yesterday. He finally got a cast put on yesterday. He has the crutches, but they prescribed a scooter for him. Kennedy is having soooo much fun with the scooter. I think I see one in his future for his birthday (maybe?). So I've been running around like crazy, cooking, cleaning, waiting on Tim, managing Kennedy, dealing with pets, chores, etc. I'm wiped out. LOL. But it was nice to get a wee bit of computer time yesterday and to feel like I've made some progress. I'm hoping to use my new position as a CT member for The Digital Press store to enhance my pocket scrapping focus.
Anyway, here are my latest pages (except for one that the kit hasn't been released yet).

Project Life Tuesday: Now & Then
Well, even though the title of this post is "now & then" it is really more like "then & then." No 'now' involved. Hahaha. But this post includes a page from 2014, and one from 2013... so it is sort of a now & then... if you count all of 2014 as 'now.'
I'm not sure if the Mom Creative is doing her PL Tuesday this month, but I thought I'd be ready just in case. My computer has been acting up, so each page takes me literally hours, and I always end up wanting to tear my own hair out or banging my mouse against the desk. It is totally frustrating, and I desperately need a new CPU, but that isn't in the cards at the moment. So I'm just looking at this as a sacrifice for my art. Hahaha.
Here are my pages for Week 16 in 2013.
My credits are insane. I used so many different things. But here is a list: VW - Pockets 6, Sprinkles 24-28; Caylee Grey - Bad Day Freebie; Amie Lamm - Boston freebie; Amy Martin - 4x6 stitched, Project Grids: Sixtytwelve 2 & 3; Becky Higgens - Polka Dot Party, Flea Market, Guest Book; Allison Pennington - Super Duper Big & Bold; Just Jaimee - April, May, June, August, September &
October Storytellers; Lily - 4x6 Templates 6; Paislee Press - Today Is, In Progress, Eternal Sunshine; One Little Bird - Love List elements, story unfolds, Hopscotch; Sahlin Studio - Documentary; The Distressed Duchess - Heather Joyce. Hopefully I didn't miss anything!
Have a fabulous week, and I will be excited to see what you have been up to!

Project Life Tuesday
I have just realized that we are entering the last part of 2014, and not only am I super behind for this year, but I am still working on 2013 pages. LOL. I thought I'd try to get back into the swing of things by participating in Project Life Tuesdays with The Mom Creative. She's doing her pages monthly now, but I'm still going to try to get mine done by Tuesdays. :)
This page spread was a fairly simple one to put together because I used Just Jaimee's October Storyteller. Yes, I did just use an October kit for February pages. But it works. I loved the colors, and the cold-weather theme... I just had to leave out all of the fun autumn-type goodies. But Jaimee packs so many things into her Storyteller collections, you could make a ton of pages before using all of the goodness tucked inside.
I've decided to add pictures of Conan (our grandson who lives across state) in when I steal them off of Facebook. I feel bad that we don't get to see him often, and I want to make sure I include him even though we aren't physically with him.
From now on, I've decided that I am going to work on my PL pages in pairs. Up next, Week 16 from 2013 and 2014. :) It will be interesting to see the difference in a year.
And I can't help but get excited and inspired thinking about December Daily. I know it is a huge laugh since I can't seem to keep up with anything, but it is fun to think about anyway. :)
What are you up to these days?

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
So today little mister started pre-k. I was a little devastated by this. I can't believe he's already starting school! Granted, it is only 2.5 hours three days a week, but it is still hard to take.
The UPSIDE to this is that I will actually have 2.5 hours three days a week all to myself. I'm almost giddy over that fact. There is so much I can do with that time. Write. Read. Paint. Scrap. Project Life. Sigh. I'm already counting the hours until I have my "free time" on Friday. :)
And today I read a couple of blog posts about catching up on Project Life. It was totally inspiring me to get that done. I've been lollygagging around... still working on the majority of 2013 AND only a few weeks into 2014. I'm so far behind it is insane. But I'm still keeping track of my weeks and planning to accomplish them at some point. So I think I will try some of the ideas that Caylee and Olya suggested.
So until I catch up further, here are a couple of the weeks I've done recently.

Hopefully the combination of inspiration and extra time every week will result in some catch up before I get completely out-of-the-range of catching up.
What about you? Do you have a plan to catch up on memory keeping?
