We are two months into the year, starting on month three, and I still haven't done anything official to document my word for the year. I have been pinning all sorts of ideas on what I want to do with the word, but I just haven't done them yet. Oy! Life has really gotten in the way the past six weeks. But I can tell you that my word is much more present this year than it was in years past. I am thinking about it every time I'm feeling the least bit chicken to do something, and the best part is that it isn't really a conscious thing. The word just pops into my head all of a sudden. I have been stepping out and doing things that I wouldn't have done in the past. That is what it is all about.
Daring.
Daring.
Daring.
March is really going to test me and my word. I am attending Artfest at the end of the month, and I'm starting to freak out about it now. I won't know anyone there, and I am so not good at meeting new people. But it will be 3+ days of amazing artsy experience that I'll never be able to recapture. It is a daring adventure, and I'm going to make the most of it!
I did find this lovely image that I am going to print and hang in my office. I love the whimsical feeling of it, and the quote is flat-out perfect for me and my OLW journey.

Well done on going to a 3 day event where you don't know anyone ~ it's a scary thing to do.
Oh great image, I want that to be me on the rock with that amazing skirt.
Nicely done, TFS

Kimberlee I really like that image..and the quote is fabulous. I guess it takes daring to Move which is my OLW. Isn't that pinning fun and motivational too?
What a cool image and quote. Congratulations on doing something so daring too! Hope you have fun and come home inspired.
Love the photo and your honesty. Your word is daring (as in such an incredible challenge)! That constant under the surface thinking is awesome. Have a great time at the 3 day retreat - it certainly is daring!
even though you might not be "officially" documenting your word, signing up for a 3 day class takes alot of guts. sounds like you're really living your word and that is whole point anyway! :) good for you! love, kelly
I love your image and quote! Also, I think it is so much more important that you are experiencing your word, living it, than it is you "do the prompt with paper" or whatever. I bet you are documenting a bit on your blog, I will have to look around! :-)
Keep being daring! It will make life so much more fun and interesting! :)
Thanks for visiting. I think it is pretty brave to go somewhere that you don't know anyone. Good for you. Here is a quote for you.
"All you need is twenty seconds of insane courage and, I promise you, something great will come of it." - Matt Damon as Benjamin Mee · We Bought a Zoo (2011)
What an awesome photo and quote for you!! The artsy show sounds wonderful, enjoy!
To be daring can be scary but the rewards can be so grand. Love the quote and photo, very inspiring!
Love the word! Reading your post made me realize that I should add a little Daring into my life in order for my word shine to work the best it can... a lot of reasons I don't get where I want to in life is I am afraid of the failure... thanks!
Love that image and quote!
Love your photo - and your blog - you sound brave, creative and artistic - great combination. Looking forward to catching up with you again next month xxx
Wow, Kimberlee... good for you. I just found you on Pinterest so I can follow all the fun things you're into. Have fun at your conference and don't spend the entire time in your room. :)
I WANT that pic to be poster sized and on my wall. I was in your spot last year, and didn't hop on the OLW train until March. It will work when you're ready. Until then just enjoy!
I love that quote and pic! Maybe next monht you'll have somepaper to document your word - but if not you always have the blog posts! :)
It all counts!
daring...such a great word! i love you thoughts this month and that pic/quote is perfection. sorry it took me so long to comment, i've been out of town since the hop went live. see you next month. xoxo
I absolutely LOVE the image and the quote. Thank you for sharing this.
