I signed up for Shimelle's "You Think You Know Me" class (online). It is going to be a great class, but I'm already really really far behind. I'm just now finishing my cover. Yikes! Obviously I'm not going to finish on time, but I did sign up for a crop on Friday night. I will get a lot done then because I'm being brave and going to the crop where I'll know absolutely no one! But if I stay at home, I'll never do anything. I'll get sidetracked with fifty million other things. So... off to the crop I go.
I'm finding that it is really difficult to go back to paper scrapping after the ease of digital. In fact, the girl at the scrapbook store thought that I was strange. I was looking for a piece of distressed brown paper. I asked if they had anything, and she wanted to know who the paper manufacturer was. I laughed and realized that I was picturing a digital paper and expecting the store to be carrying it. She didn't really understand the whole digital thing, so I was talking to her about it and telling her about the diversity of digital.
Anyway, I'm going to post a pic of my cover. I did use digital to print out the words and the swirls (Michelle Coleman's flourish brush) on a transparency. I used that over the top of a paper by K & Company, glued down a ribbon and then topped it off with two chipboard letters. One was from K & Company and the other was painted/glittered by me.
